Leica Gallery Bangkok
Located in the strategic heart of Bangkok, next door to the Leica Store on 2nd floor of Gaysorn Village, Leica Gallery Bangkok aims to encourage photographic exploration, appreciation and promote unique photographic culture among audience in Thailand. The Gallery will feature works of internationally renowned photographers and aims to showcase local creative talents to the international arena while fostering the development of photographic arts in the region. The Leica Gallery Bangkok incorporates “Thainess” into urban modernity to create a destination of its own character, boasting Thailand’s deep-rooted cultural heritage as well as modern experiential excellence.
The design of the Gallery is very unique and derives from one of the traditional Lai-Thai pattern called “Kra Chang”, depicting carving of leaves arranged in the shape of two outstretched arms. “Kra Chang” pattern is often seen on Buddhist paintings, textiles or Thai ancient architecture such as temples and palaces. The over 100 square meter space also includes an exclusive café area as well as an outdoor balcony overlooking the bustling street of Ratchaprasong where guest may relax and with a drink while meeting like minded people.
